Usage Evaluation
Linn County REC’s energy evaluation program is a virtual assessment that can assess how energy is used in your home. This program will assist you by suggesting measures you can take to make it more energy efficient.
Your steps for Linn County REC’s energy evaluation are:
1. Fill out the Energy Evaluation Form completely and to the best of your knowledge. For members that do not have internet access, please contact our office to request one.

2. Log in to your SmartHub account to view your usage history. Click on the icon below. If you do not already have SmartHub downloaded, you will need to set up an account. It is our FREE app.
3. Go to the SmartHub Resources page to view the energy usage video for the device you will be using. You can select to view your usage by month, day and even time in 15-minute increments. This usage history allows you to see how your electricity usage changes throughout the day. Then, you will be able to note things that would have been using electricity at those times. It also allows you to shut off an appliance or piece of equipment for a few hours and possibly see its effect the next day in history.
